World Tourism Day returns to focus on the future

After the situation in the Covid period, Portugal's tourism has exceeded the 2019 figures.

According to data from INE, the tourist accommodation sector registered 3.0 million guests and 8.6 million overnight stays in July 2022, corresponding to year-on-year rates of change of +85.4% and +90.1%, respectively (+97.6% and +110.7% in June, in the same order). Compared to July 2019, there were increases of 6.3% and 4.8%, respectively.

Today we mark the World Tourism Day by mentioning the excellence of the service provided in our operating hotels and highlighting the importance of Mercan Properties in the growth of the tourism sector in Portugal.
